I was lucky enough to have lived on boats from a very early age spending twelve years of my childhood cruising European waters with my family. At sixteen I was offered a four-year boat building apprenticeship in Australia at Beashel’s Boat yard, During this time I studied Naval Architecture and yacht surveying at college. My first introduction to the yachting industry came when I was offered a position on the three Masted Schooner Jessica now known as Adix.
I have been working in the professional Yachting industry for the past 30 years having sailed over 320,000nm across the world in all marine environments. My experience had grown with the yachts, and over time has led me to become Captain & Project Manager for many of the world's largest Super Yachts.
A life on and in the water was inevitable for me as we grew up surfing, diving, spearfishing, wakeboarding, windsurfing, sailing and doing just about every other type of watersport activity possible.
I studied and qualified in Interior Design in 1993 before getting my foothold into the industry in 1999 running a surf charter boat in Indonesia.
Thankfully over the past 20 years I have worked with many great owners, captains and crew and have traveled many places and established strong relationships with industry peers and colleagues. I have also had the opportunity to work on 6 newbuild projects ranging from 42 to 111 metres and taking this experience and knowledge into Oceans 4 will stand us strong as we aim to deliver the best results to our owners and clients.
I have extensive experience in marine engineering having been in the industry for more than 15 years serving as an operational chief engineer across the world in all marine environments. My experience has enabled me to improve marine systems and solve complex operational problems .
My engineering forte is in electronic/electrical and automated marine systems with an education foundation in marine engineering and IT. My goal is to provide the client with a superior product by providing cost effective solutions to design and production issues during the build of the vessel.
